This is because each app update forces the algorithm to crawl changes and look for new keywords. Therefore, updating metadata too frequently can actually compromise the visibility of the app, as the algorithm will start crawling the updated metadata before the previous keyword has time to reach its full ranking potential. To continuously improve the visibility of your app, you should be wary of the number of updates you are performing: there is a thin line where you want to strike the right balance.
