Desperately want to be number one.

The algorithms are extremely cautious when deciding which app should be ranked first in Google Play or the App Store. They frequently shuffle three top applications up and down the ranks. It's particularly noticeable in the App Store. Because its algorithm recalculates positions hourly, you could be number one in the morning and drop to number three at night the same day.
