Initially rumoured to carry the codename "Smokedancer," development updates later revealed her internal designation as "FrogGrave". Riot Games typically employs such temporary monikers to conceal true identities, though these often hint at thematic elements or ability concepts. Her official name, Clove, was subsequently confirmed through promotional materials.
Voice lines extracted from recent game patches confirm that Clove hails from Scotland.
