Sunday was formerly the head of the Oak Family, one of the five great families of Penacony. As the elder brother of the renowned singer Robin, he played a pivotal role in the Trailblaze Missions.
Sunday is slated to become playable in Version 2.7, as revealed in recent marketing updates.

Born on Halovian, Sunday and Robin survived a Stellaron disaster that claimed their mother’s life.
Despite this early tragedy, Sunday found purpose within The Family, a cosmic faction devoted to Xipe the Harmony. Secretly, he aimed to resurrect the Aeon of Order, Ena, and create an eternal dream paradise.

His story explores order, harmony, and the pursuit of an ideal world. Sunday's transformation into the "Embryo of Philosophy" challenges players to confront his ideals, culminating in introspection and redemption.
He was last seen in prison, receiving a visit and proposal from Jade of the IPC.

Sunday is anticipated to be released in Version 2.7 Phase 1, potentially on 3 December 2024.
Official information on Sunday's kit is yet to be released, but leaker Dim hinted at him being a powerful Harmony (buffer) character:

Increases target’s CRIT Rate when using Skill
Boosts total team DMG after using Technique
Skill use allows target character to ignore 16% of enemy DEF and summons to ignore 40% DEF for 2 turns.
After first Ultimate use, recovers 2 Skill Points. "The Beatified" DMG increases by 30%.
Ultimate Lv. +2 (max Lv. 15). Basic ATK Lv. +1 (max Lv. 10).
Regenerates 8 Energy at turn start.
Skill Lv. +2 (max Lv. 15). Talent Lv. +2 (max Lv. 15).
Talent’s CRIT Rate boost stacks up to 3 times; duration increased by 1 turn. Ultimate also applies Talent’s CRIT Rate boost. Excess CRIT Rate above 100% increases CRIT DMG by 2% per 1% excess.

Sunday's Light Cone, "A Grounded Ascent", provides Energy Regeneration, DMG buff, and Skill Point Recovery:
"After using Skill or Ultimate on an ally, the wearer regenerates 6.0 / 6.5 / 7.0 / 7.5 / 8.0 Energy and grants 1 stack of Hymn for 2 turns, stacking up to 3 times. Each stack increases DMG by 15.0% / 17.25% / 19.5% / 21.75% / 24.0%. Every 2 uses on one ally recovers 1 Skill Point."
Based on leaks, Sunday excels as a buffer in teams with summons.
Previously, Jing Yuan's Lightning Lord speed could only be boosted by Jing Yuan's skill or Ultimate, not via buffs. Timing gaps could cause damage overflow or missed buffs.
Sunday’s buff fits perfectly, making JY + Sunday potentially a Tier 1 team: Jing Yuan + Sunday + Robin + Aventurine.
Advances actions, increases CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG, boosts direct DMG, and regenerates Energy for the team.
Advances actions for both characters and summons (e.g., Lightning Lord and Numby), highly beneficial for summon-based teams such as Jing Yuan.
Regenerates 20% Energy and increases CRIT DMG of targeted ally and their summons for 3 turns.
Optimally paired with summon-heavy teams; e.g., Jing Yuan.
