Apple unveils summarised user reviews on the App Store to help users make well-informed decisions before downloading apps.

Apple is preparing to introduce a new App Store feature that delivers concise, summarised insights from user reviews, making it easier for users to understand key feedback before downloading an app.
Apple has confirmed that the AI-generated review summaries will be rolled out globally in April 2025 via iOS 18.4 and iPadOS 18.4, currently in public beta.
๐ Keep up to date with iOS beta updates
Using Apple Intelligence's large language models (LLMs), the system will generate weekly-updated summaries highlighting an app's strengths, weaknesses, and common feedback themes. These summaries will appear alongside the app's description, screenshots, and other details, offering users a clearer understanding of the app's reliability and performance.
Apple has indicated that this feature will initially be available in select regions and only for apps with a sufficient number of reviews to create meaningful summaries. The launch will first cover English (U.S.), with additional languages and regions added later in 2025.

The main aim of this feature is to help users make more informed decisions before downloading an app. By summarising the most frequent feedback, Apple intends to provide a straightforward way for users to assess whether an app meets their expectations and aligns with its description.
